PENGARUH POSISI ORTOPNEA TERHADAP NILAI SATURASI OKSIGEN PADA PASIEN PENYAKIT PARU OBSTRUKTIF KRONIK DI RUMAH SAKIT GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2025
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic respiratory disease characterized by progressive and non-reversible airflow obstruction. This condition causes impaired gas exchange, causing patients to frequently experience shortness of breath and decreased oxygen saturation. One non-pharmacological nursing intervention that can be performed to help improve oxygenation is the orthopnea position. The orthopnea position is a sitting or semi-sitting position with support that aims to optimize lung expansion, reduce pressure on the diaphragm, reduce the work of breathing, and improve alveolar ventilation. This study aims to determine the effect of the orthopnea position on oxygen saturation values in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease patients at Grandmed Hospital Lubuk Pakam in 2025.
