PERBEDAAN HASIL PEMERIKSAAN MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS DENGAN PEWARNAAN ZIEHL-NEELSEN DAN GENEXPERT PADA PASIEN TB PARU

An analysis comparing the test results of patients suspected of having TB using the Ziehl-Neelsen and GeneXpert methods demonstrates that the GeneXpert method possesses higher sensitivity than the Ziehl-Neelsen method. This is evident from the results, where the GeneXpert method identified 18 samples as MTB Not Detected,whereas the Ziehl-Neelsen method indicated 19 samples as negative. This discrepancy reflects the ability of the GeneXpert method to provide more accurate results in detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis, even when the bacterial load in the sample is low.
