PERBANDINGAN PEMERIKSAAN BTA LANGSUNG DIPERIKSA DENGAN SPUTUM BTA YANG DISIMPAN SELAMA 8-12 JAM PADA SUHU RUANGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE MIKROSKOPIS DENGAN PEWARNAAN ZHIEL NEELSEN DI PRAMITA HM YAMIN MEDAN

The purpose of the study was to compare the results of direct AFB examination with AFB sputum stored for 8-12 hours at room temperature using a microscopic method with Ziehl–Neelsen staining at Pramita HM Yamin Medan. The research method used was a pure experimental research design (True Experimental Design) using a cross-sectional approach. The results of the study from 20 respondents, there were 14 respondents (70%) direct BTA sputum examination in the positive category (+) against BTA sputum examination stored after 8-12 hours in the negative category (-), while 6 respondents (30%) direct BTA sputum examination in the negative category (-) against BTA sputum examination stored after 8-12 hours in the positive category (+). The conclusion through the results of the independent t-test analysis is that the probability value is (0.02)
