IDENTIFIKASI JENIS CACING SOIL TRANSMITTED HELMINTH (STH) PADA FESES ANAK USIA SEKOLAH DASAR DI WILAYAH KERJA KABUPATEN PIDIE
Objective: To identify the types of Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) in the feces of primary school-aged children in the working area of the UPTD Puskesmas Batee, Pidie Regency. Method: This study is a descriptive research with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 20 primary school children whose feces were examined using the direct slide method with 2% eosin. The results were observed under a microscope to identify the types of worm eggs. Results: Of the 20 samples examined, 13 samples (65%) showed positive results for worm infection. The most commonly found type of worm was Ascaris lumbricoides, both in the form of fertilized and unfertilized eggs, as well as decortication. In addition, 1 case of Enterobius vermicularis infection was found.
