This study aims to obtain information on whether there are differences in SGOT and SGPT values between serum and EDTA plasma samples. The sampling technique used is random sampling with a total of 27 respondents from patients at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan. The examination was conducted in May 2025 at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan. The data were analyzed using the statistical t-test. The results of the study based on the t-test showed that for the SGOT examination, p≥0.05, which is greater than the significance value (2-tailed) of 0.026, indicating a significant difference between serum and EDTA plasma samples regarding SGOT and SGPT. For the SGPT examination, p≤0.05, which is smaller than the significance value (2-tailed) of 0.054. There is no significant difference between serum and EDTA plasma samples regarding the SGOT and SGPT examinations.
