PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BACK MASSAGE TERHADAP INTENSITAS NYERI PADA PASIEN POST OPERASI APENDIKTOMI DI RUMAH SAKIT GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2025
Appendicitis was one of the most common surgical emergency cases encountered in health care facilities and was generally treated through appendectomy. Patients after appendectomy often experienced pain due to tissue damage, inflammatory responses, muscle spasms, and anxiety, which affected patient comfort and mobility. Pain management could be performed through pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. One non-pharmacological therapy that was considered effective and did not cause side effects was back massage, which aimed to increase relaxation, improve blood circulation, and reduce muscle tension. This study aimed to determine the effect of back massage on pain intensity in post-appendectomy patients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital in 2025.
