DETEKSI Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) PADA MUKOSA ORAL PASIEN Tuberculosis PARU BERDASARKAN FASE AWAL, Multidrug Resistant (MDR), DAN PENGOBATAN
This study used an experimental method with examination of Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA from oral mucosa samples. The process included DNA isolation, amplification, and visualization using agarose gel electrophoresis to observe DNA band patterns based on fragment size. Electrophoresis visualization showed the presence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA bands in some oral mucosa samples. The band patterns formed corresponded to the target DNA size compared with the DNA marker, indicating successful amplification and the presence of MTB DNA in certain samples. Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA can be detected in the oral mucosa of pulmonary tuberculosis patients using the electrophoresis method. This examination has the potential to be a non-invasive diagnostic alternative to assist early TB detection, especially in patients who have difficulty producing sputum.
