PERBANDINGAN JUMLAH KOLONI Staphylococcus aureus PADA CINCAU HIJAU (Cyclea barbata miers) DAN CINCAU HITAM (Mesona palustris) YANG DI PERJUAL – BELIKAN DI DAERAH LUBUK PAKAM
Objective: This study aims to compare the number of Staphylococcus aureus colonies in green grass jelly and black grass jelly. Method: This study uses an experimental method with the Scratch technique, where the petri dish that has been filled with media is scratched with a nose that has been scratched first from the sample. The samples obtained were then incubated and identified by gram staining and catalase and coagulase tests. Results:. The results showed that both types of grass jelly contained Staphylococcus aureus, but with varying colony counts. The average colony count for black grass jelly was higher than for green grass jelly. This difference is thought to be due to differences in raw materials, processing methods, and environmental sanitation during production.
