ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA PASIEN YANG TERPASANG CENTRAL VENA CATHETER (CVC) TERHADAP KEJADIAN INFEKSI ALIRAN DARAH PRIMER (IADP) PADA PASIEN DIRUANG INTENSIVE DI RS.GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM
Primary bloodstream infection is defined as a laboratory-confirmed bloodstream infection, the etiology of which cannot be attributed to any source other than the use of the central venous catheter (CVC) and its manifestations appear at least 48 hours after the instrument is inserted. This study aims to investigate and analyze the correlation between central venous catheter (CVC) care practices and various risk factors inherent in patients with the incidence of primary bloodstream infection (PBI) in a population of patients treated in the intensive care unit of Grandmed Hospital, dr. Freedy Tambunan, SpB. This study adopted a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. Meanwhile, the sampling procedure was carried out using an accidental sampling technique.
