ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA PASIEN FRAKTUR FEMUR TERTUTUP: NYERI AKUT DENGAN INTERVENSI TERAPI KOMPRES DINGIN DI RUMAH SAKIT GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM
This study used was a case study approach applying the nursing process, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of this study was one patient diagnosed with a closed femoral fracture experiencing acute pain. The intervention consisted of cold compress therapy for 10–20 minutes over 3 days of treatment accompanied by monitoring vital signs and pain scale. The assesment results showed a decrease in pain intensity after the cold compress therapy was administered. Initially, the patient’s pain scale was at level 5 and decreased to level 3 after the intervention. In addition, the patient appeared more relaxed, facial grimacing decreased, and vital signs became more stable. In conclusion, cold compress therapy can help reduce acute pain in patients with closed femoral fractures and may be used as a
non-pharmacological intervention in nursing care.
