HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN GIZI DENGAN STATUS GIZIPADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE II DI RUMAH SAKIT GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2026

This study employs an analytic observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consists of 302 Type II DM patients receiving treatment at Grandmed Hospital Lubuk Pakam. A total of 75 respondents are selected using a purposive sampling technique. Nutritional
knowledge data are collected through a questionnaire consisting of 10 questions, while nutritional status is assessed using Body Mass Index (BMI) measurements. Data analysis is conducted through univariate and bivariate analyses using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The findings of this study are expected to provide information regarding the relationship between nutritional knowledge and nutritional status among Type II DM patients and serve as a basis for developing more effective nutrition education programs to improve patients' health status.
