PENGARUH PEMBERIAN TRANSCUTANEOUS ELECTRICAL NERVE STIMULATION DAN MC KENZIE EXERCISE TERDADAP NYERI PADA PASIEN CERVICAL ROOT SYNDROME DI RS GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2025
Mc Kenzie cervical exercise is an exercise technique using backward body movements, used to strengthen and stretch the extensor and flexor lumbosacral muscles which can reduce pain and
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is a tool that is supplied with electric current equipped with electrode devices that aim to stimulate pain- reducing nerves. This study is a quasi-experimental study with one group pretest - posttest design. The intervention of giving Tens and isometric Quadriceps exercise was carried out 2 times a week for 4 weeks with 8 actions, the measuring instrument used was the Visual Analogue Scala (VAS). The results of the study showed that pain in cervical room syndrome before and after being given Mc Kenzie exercise and Tens obtained an average pain of 7.23 with a standard deviation of 1.245 and the value after being given Mc Kenzie exercise and Tens obtained an average pain of 2.92 with a standard deviation of 1.256 Based on data analysis using the paired sample t-test, a p-value of 0.000 was obtained which was smaller than α = 0.05, which means that there is an effect of giving Mc Kenzie exercise and Tens on reducing pain in cervical root syndrome patients at the Grandmed Hospital, Lubuk Pakam in 2025.
