PENGARUH PEMBERIAN LATIHAN CORE STABILITY DAN OTAGO EXERCISE TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KESEIMBANGAN DINAMIS PADA LANSIA DI PUSKESMAS PAGAR JATI TAHUN 2025
Older adults experience a decline in balance due to reduced muscle strength and stamina, leading to difficulties in walking and maintaining posture, thereby increasing the risk of falls. Factors contributing to this risk include weakness in the lower extremity muscles and damage to the basal ganglia and cerebellum (Rosdiana & Lestari, 2020). According to the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction, the elderly population (aged 60 and older) in Indonesia totals 25.7 million people, representing approximately 9.6 percent of the entire population. The incidence of falls among the elderly is approximately 70.2%. Core stability training and Otago exercises have the potential to improve balance. Therefore, the researcher is interested in conducting a study on "The Effect of Core Stability Training and Otago Exercises on Improving Dynamic Balance among the Elderly at the Pagar Jati Community Health Center."
