PENGARUH PEMBERIAN HYDROTHERAPY TERHADAP PENURUNAN NYERI PADA PENDERITA OSTEOARTHRITIS KNEE DI RSUD DRS.H.AMRI TAMBUNAN TAHUN 2025
Hydrotherapy is an exercise program performed in a swimming pool with various movements. Swimming pools have several physical properties, namely the ability to counteract gravity, buoyancy, and good thermal effects for the body. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The Hydrotherapy intervention was conducted twice a week for four weeks, for a total of eight sessions. The Visual Analog Scale (VAS) was used as a measurement tool. The results showed that the average pain score in Osteoarthritis patients before Hydrotherapy was 4.82 with a standard deviation of 1.237. After Hydrotherapy, the average pain score was 2.47 with a standard deviation of 1.125. Based on the paired sample t-test data analysis, a p-value of 0.000 was obtained, which is less than α 0.05. This indicates a significant effect of Hydrotherapy on pain in Osteoarthritis sufferers at the Drs. H. Amri Tambunan Regional General Hospital in 2025.
