PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PROPRIOCEPTIVE NEUROMUSCULAR FACILITATION TERHADAP PENINGKATAN FUNGSIONAL OTOT WAJAH PADA PASIEN BELL’S PALSY DI RS GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2025
Bell's palsy is an acute weakness or paralysis of the peripheral facial nerve on one side of the face. In this condition, the patient is unable to consciously move half of his face on the affected side. Health services that can be provided by physiotherapy are providing proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation to improve facial muscle function in Bell's palsy. Research objective: This study aims to
determine the effect of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation on improving facial muscle function in Bell's palsy patients. Research Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental research design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The instrument in this study used Total Sampling with a sample size of 12 people. The measuring instrument used was the Ugo Fisch Scale, to determine the effect of providing proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation on improving facial muscle function in Bell's palsy patients, the Shapiro-Wilk Test and the Paired Sample T-
Test were used.
