ANALISIS PERBEDAAN KADAR ASAM URAT METODE ENZIMATIK MENGGUNAKAN SAMPEL SERUM DAN SAMPEL PLASMA EDTA DI RS GRANMED
Objective:This study aims to analyze the difference in uric acid levels measured by the enzymatic method using serum and EDTA plasma samples. This research is a descriptive analytic study with a cross-sectional design conducted at the Laboratory of Medistra Health Institute Lubuk Pakam and GranMed Hospital Lubuk Pakam from April to June 2025. The samples consisted of six patients diagnosed with uric acid disorders, with blood drawn to obtain both serum and EDTA plasma samples. Method: Uric acid levels were measured using the enzymatic colorimetric method with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Result: The study showed that the uric acid level in the serum sample was 231 mg/gr with a recovery percentage of 97%, while the uric acid level in the EDTA plasma sample was 217 mg/gr with a recovery percentage of 62%, indicating that there is a difference in uric acid levels between serum and EDTA plasma samples.
