ENGARUH STABILITY BALL EXERCISE TERHADAP KECEMASAN IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III DI PMB Bd. SUGIHARTI LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2025
This anxiety could appear in various forms, such as fear of pain during childbirth, concerns about the health of the baby, and uncertainty about one's ability to carry out the role of a mother. High levels of anxiety could caused sleep disturbances, increased blood pressure, and eating disorders, all of which could had a negative effect on the health of the mother and fetus. Physical exercise could reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression in pregnant women. However, not all types of physical exercise were suitable for pregnant women. In the third trimester, pregnant women need safe, low-risk exercises that can support their physical and emotional well-being. One form of exercise that is increasingly popular is stability ball exercise. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of stability ball exercise on anxiety in third trimester pregnant women at PMB Bd. Sugiharti Lubuk Pakam in 2025. This study was a quantitative study with a Quasi Experiment nature with a pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were all third trimester pregnant women who visited PMB Bd. Sugiharti Lubuk Pakam in 2025, totaling 15 people. The sample obtained was 14 people using the accidental sampling technique. The statistical test used was the paired sample t test with a confidence level of 95% (α = 0.05). The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of stability ball exercise on anxiety in third trimester pregnant women at PMB Bd. Sugiharti Lubuk Pakam in 2025 (p value 0.000). Therefore, midwives are expected to apply stability ball exercise as an intervention that can overcome anxiety in third trimester pregnant women.
