HUBUNGAN POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DENGAN TINGKAT KEBERHASILAN TOILET TRAINING PADAANAK USIA TODDLER (1-3 TAHUN) DI KLINIK PRATAMA DITA HUSADA TANJUNG MORAWA
This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting style and the success of toilet
training among toddlers at Pratama Dita Husada Clinic, Tanjung Morawa. This research utilized an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 33 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The independent variable in this study is parenting style, while the dependent variable is the success rate of toilet training. Data were collected using both primary and secondary methods through questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the Chi-
Square test. The results showed that the most frequently used parenting style was democratic (54.5%), followed by authoritarian (30.3%), permissive (9.1%), and neglectful (6.1%). The statistical test results showed a p-value of 0.000 (< α = 0.05), indicating a significant relationship between parenting style and the success of toilet training in toddlers at Pratama Dita Husada Clinic. This study concludes that parenting style influences the success of toilet training. It is recommended that parents adopt a democratic parenting style to support the healthy psychological
development of their children.
