PENGARUH KOMPRES ALOE VERRA TERHADAP NYERI PEMBENGKAKAN PAYUDARA PADA IBU POST PARTUM DI KLINIK PRATAMA CAHAYA 2 LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2025

According to research conducted at the Pratama Cahaya 2 Lubuk Pakam Clinic, 19 out of 25 mothers felt excessive pain due to breast engorgement, which indicated non-pharmacological treatment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of aloe vera compress on breast pain of postpartum women at Pratama Cahaya 2 Clinic in Lubuk Pakam. Using a quantitative approach and a pseudo-experimental design for pre-test and post-test one group, this study included 19 postpartum women who were randomly selected. The independent variable is aloe vera compress, while the dependent variable is breast swelling pain. Pain measurement was done using Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and observation sheet. The results showed a significant decrease in pain after aloe vera compress. Before the intervention, the average pain scale was 4.79; after the aloe vera compress fell to 2.21. Initially, 7 people (36.8%) experienced severe pain, and after consuming aloe vera the number of people decreased, namely 7 people (36.8%) experienced moderate pain.
