PENGARUH PIJAT AKUPRESURE TERHADAP NYERI DISMINOREA PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI MAN 2 DELI SERDANG TAHUN 2025
Background: Dysmenorrhea is a common problem experienced by adolescent girls that can disrupt daily activities. Acupressure massage is a non-pharmacological therapy believed to be effective in reducing pain.
Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of acupressure massage on dysmenorrhea pain in adolescent girls at MAN 2 Deli Serdang.
Method: This quasi-experimental study used a pretest-posttest design with 30 respondents. Pain intensity was measured using a
pain scale before and after the acupressure intervention. Data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-test.
Results: The average pain score before the intervention was 2.60 and decreased to 1.73 after acupressure massage. Statistical tests showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect of acupressure massage in reducing dysmenorrhea pain.
Conclusion: Acupressure massage is effective in reducing dysmenorrhea pain in adolescent girls and can be used as a safe and easy non-pharmacological alternative therapy.
