HUBUNGAN LAMA KERJA DAN USIA DENGAN KELUHAN HAND ARM VIBRATION SYNDROME PADA PEKERJA PEMARUT KELAPA DI WILAYAH KECAMATAN LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2026
Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, while data analysis used the Chi-Square statistical test.The results showed that most of the respondents were aged ≤ 26 years, totaling 23 people (76.7%) and had a working period of ≤ 8 hours, totaling 22 people (73.3%). A total of 17 people (56.7%) of respondents experienced health complaints, with the most common symptoms being stinging sensation in the palms and difficulty moving fingers, each experienced by 21 people (70.0%).
The results of statistical tests showed no significant relationship between working period and health complaints (p-value = 0.201 > 0.05) and no significant relationship between age group and health complaints (p-value = 0.400 > 0.05). Although no relationship was found statistically, health complaints are still widely experienced by workers. It is recommended that workers use personal protective equipment and manage rest periods, and for business owners to carry out work tool maintenance and regular health checks for workers.
