HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU DENGAN PEMBERIAN VITAMIN A PADA BALITA DI PUSKESMAS BINTANG BAYU KABUPATEN SERDANG BEDAGAI
Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge and attitude with vitamin A provision to toddlers at Bintang Bayu Public Health Center, Serdang Bedagai Regency. Method: This study used a quantitative analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with 28 respondents who had toddlers. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed that most mothers had good knowledge (42.9%) and positive attitudes (78.6%) towards the provision of vitamin A. As many as 78.6% of toddlers had received vitamin A. The results of the Chi-Square test showed that there was a significant relationship between maternal knowledge (p = 0.000) and maternal attitudes (p = 0.000) with the provision of vitamin A to toddlers. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and attitudes with the provision of vitamin A to toddlers at the Bintang Bayu Health Center. Increasing education and counseling is expected to increase the coverage of vitamin A provision.
