GAMBARAN PENGGUNAAN PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) PADA PETUGAS PENANGANAN INFECTIOUS WASTE DI UPT PUSKESMAS DALU SEPULUH

The findings revealed that PPE use varied in terms of completeness, usage procedures, and consistency of application. Laboratory personnel demonstrated better compliance than sanitation staff. Comfort-related factors, work habits, and inadequate supervision and socialization were identified as the main barriers. It can be concluded that strengthening supervision, providing continuous training, and improving compliance with PPE Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are necessary to support OHS implementation and protect healthcare workers from the risks of infectious waste exposure. Future research is recommended to further examine the factors influencing compliance with PPE use.
