The research results showed that there were 47 heads of households (77.0%) who had a poor
level of knowledge, 45 people (72.8%) lived in areas where sanitation facilities did not meet health requirements, there was a significant relationship between knowledge and community sanitation behavior (p=0.001), and there was a significant relationship between the availability of sanitation facilities and community sanitation behavior (p=0.001). Therefore, it is necessary to improve
environmental health education and provide sanitation facilities that meet health standards. These efforts are important to enhance public knowledge as well as support behavioral changes toward clean and healthy living, thus reducing the risk of environment-based diseases in riverbank areas.
