PENGARUH TERAPI BIRTH BALL TERHADAP PENURUNAN NYERI PERSALINAN KALA I FASE AKTIF PADA IBU PRIMIGRAVIDA DI PMB SISWANI LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2025

This study used a quasi-experimental design with one group (one-group pre-test post-test design). The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 16 pregnant women. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets. The relationship analysis was conducted using the paired- sample t-test. Data analysis also used the Shapiro-Wilk test.

The results showed that most of the pregnant women experienced severe labor pain before the intervention (75%) and moderate labor pain after the intervention (81.3%). Statistical test results showed a p-value = 0.008 (p < 0.05), indicating that birth ball therapy has a significant effect on reducing labor pain during the first stage of labor in primigravida mothers at PMB Siswani, Lubuk Pakam, in 2025. It is expected that this study can serve as a source of information for reducing
labor pain levels in pregnant women.
