FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PARTISIPASI IBU MENGGUNAKAN AKDR DI POSKESDES SIDOMULYO KEC. TINGGI RAJA KAB. ASAHAN TAHUN 2025
The low use of IUDs can be influenced by various factors, such as age, education, occupation, knowledge, and support from husbands. Therefore, it is important to know the factors related to the use of IUDs, especially in Sidomulyo Village.
Objective:
To determine the relationship between age, education, occupation, knowledge, and husband's support with the use of IUDs in Sidomulyo Village. Method: This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling with a total of 25 respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire and data analysis was carried out using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of α = 0.05.
Results:
The results showed that there was a relationship between maternal age (p- value = 0.000), maternal education (p-value = 0.001), maternal occupation (p- value = 0.000), maternal knowledge (p-value = 0.000), and husband's support (p-value = 0.000) with the use of IUDs in Sidomulyo Village.
Conclusion:
All variables studied (age, education, occupation, knowledge, and husband's support) had a significant relationship with the use of IUDs. Husband's support and mother's knowledge were the dominant factors in influencing the decision to use IUDs.
