FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN GANGGUAN PERNAPASAN (PPOK) PADA PEKERJA DI PABRIK KAYU TAWAQAL TANJUNG MORAWA TAHUN 2026
The results showed that most respondents were aged >40 years (58.3%), had worked for more than 5 years (65.0%), were non-compliant in using PPE (60.0%), had smoking habits (63.3%), and experienced respiratory disorders (66.7%). The Chi-Square test revealed a significant relationship between age and respiratory disorders (p=0.042), length of employment and respiratory disorders (p=0.022), PPE use and respiratory disorders (p=0.025), and smoking habits and respiratory disorders (p=0.000). In conclusion, age, length of employment, PPE use, and smoking habits were significantly associated with respiratory disorders among workers at Tawaqal Wood Factory, Tanjung
Morawa, in 2026. It is recommended that the company improve supervision of PPE usage, control dust exposure in the workplace, and provide education regarding the hazards of smoking in order to reduce the incidence of respiratory disorders among workers.
