FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KELUHAN MATA PADA PEKERJA BENGKEL LAS DI KECAMATAN TALAWI KABUPATEN BATU BARA
This study was a quantitative research using an analytic survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of all welding workers in Talawi District, Batu Bara Regency,
totaling 30 workers, using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations and analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that the majority of respondents experienced eye complaints (70.0%). There were significant relationships between age (p=0.000), use of PPE (p=0.011), working duration (p=0.000), lighting (p=0.000), ventilation (p=0.000), and occupational safety behavior (p=0.019) with
eye complaints among welding workers. It can be concluded that individual, behavioral, and environmental factors are significantly associated with eye complaints. Therefore, improving PPE usage, workplace conditions, and safety awareness is necessary to prevent eye complaints among welding workers.
