PENGARUH PIJAT BAYI TERHADAP KUALITAS TIDUR BAYI USIA 3-6 BULAM DI PMB EKA SRI WAHYUNI KOTA MEDAN TAHUN 2025
This research used a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design involving 15 infants aged 3 to 6 months. Sleep quality data were collected before and after a routine infant massage intervention. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed the data were not normally distributed, so the Wilcoxon test was used for analysis.
The results showed that before receiving massage, all respondents had poor sleep quality. After massage intervention, 73.3% of infants showed improved sleep quality. The Wilcoxon test revealed a statistically significant difference in sleep quality before and after infant massage, with a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). In conclusion, infant massage has a positive and significant effect on improving the sleep quality of infants aged 3 to 6 months. It is recommended that parents and health workers apply infant massage as an effective method to enhance infant sleep quality.
