Results:
The results showed that before the intervention, all respondents (100%) experienced mild anemia with hemoglobin levels of 10.0–10.9 g/dL. After the intervention, 19 respondents (76.0%) experienced an increase in hemoglobin levels to the normal category (≥11 g/dL), and 6 respondents (24.0%) were still in the mildB anemia category. The results of the statistical test showed a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means that there is a significant effect between the administration of beetroot juice on increasing hemoglobin levels.
Conclusion:
Routine administration of beetroot juice for 14 days has been proven to be effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in the second trimester who experience mild anemia. This intervention can be used as a natural and safe alternative in treating mild anemia in pregnancy. Suggestion:
Education is needed
for pregnant women about the benefits of beetroot juice as a natural source of iron, as well as the need for further research with a longer period of time and a widersample coverage.
