EFEKTIFITAS PEMBERIAN DAUN KATUK TERHADAP PRODUKSI ASI PADA IBU POST PARTUM DI PUSKESMAS PASAR X DESA BANDAR KHALIPAH KECAMATAN PERCUT SEITUAN TAHUN 2025
Method:
This study used a quantitative design with a pretest-posttest one group design approach. The sample consisted of 12 postpartum mothers who met the inclusion criteria. The normality test used Shapiro-Wilk, followed by the Wilcoxon test because the data were not normally distributed. The breast milk production measurement scale was determined based on observations and self-reports from mothers.
Results: Before the intervention, 7 respondents (58.3%) experienced a decrease in breast milk production and none experienced an increase. After giving katuk leaves for a certain period, 5 respondents (41.7%) experienced an increase in breast milk production, 4 people (33.3%) remained the same, and only 3 people (25.0%) experienced a decrease. The average score of breast milk production before the intervention was 2.58 (SD = 0.515) and after the intervention it became 1.83 (SD = 0.835). The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a Z value = -2.111 and p-value = 0.035 (p < 0.05), which showed a statistically significant difference.
