PENGARUH SUCTION ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE (ETT) TERHADAP NILAI SATURASI OKSIGEN (SPO2) PADA PASIEN GAGAL NAFAS DI ICU RUMAH SAKIT GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM
Background: Respiratory failure is an emergency condition characterized by the inability of the respiratory system to maintain adequate gas exchange. In patients with mechanical ventilation, the accumulation of secretions in the airway often causes obstruction, increased work of breathing, and decreased oxygen saturation (SpO2). One of the nursing actions to maintain airway patency is Endotracheal Tube (ETT) suction, which aims to remove secretions, reduce airflow resistance, and improve oxygenation. Objective: To determine the effect of Endotracheal Tube (ETT) suction on oxygen saturation (SpO2) values in respiratory failure patients in the ICU of Grandmed Hospital Lubuk Pakam in 2025.
