PERBEDAAN TITER WIDAL MENGGUNAKAN SAMPEL SERUM DAN SAMPEL PLASMA EDTA PADA PASIEN DENGAN DIAGNOSA SUSPEK TIPOID DI RSUD LANGSA
Objective: To determine whether there is a difference in Widal titer values between serum samples and EDTA plasma samples in patients suspected of having typhoid fever at Langsa Regional General Hospital. Methods: This study employed an experimental method by testing serum and EDTA plasma samples for the Widal test in 15 suspected typhoid patients, comparing the titer results between the two sample types. Results: The Widal test using both serum and EDTA plasma samples showed positive results in 13 patients (86.7%). Data were analyzed using the Independent Sample T-Test, resulting in a Sig. (2-tailed) value > 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (H0) is accepted and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is rejected, meaning there is no significant difference.
