HUBUNGAN INDEKS MASSA TUBUH DENGAN KADAR GLUKOSA PENDERITA DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 2 DI KLINIK PRATAMA RAWAT INAP TUTUN SEHATI
Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and blood glucose levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at Klinik Pratama Rawat Inap Tutun Sehati. Methods: This research employed a descriptive analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 23 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test to examine the association between BMI and blood glucose levels. Results: The results indicated that most respondents with a BMI > 25 kg/m² had abnormal blood glucose levels. The chi-square test yielded a value of χ2=12.46, which exceeded the critical value of 5.991 at a 5% significance level, indicating a statistically significant association between BMI and blood glucose levels (p < 0.05).
