PERBANDINGAN HASIL PEMERIKSAAN HBA1C PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS DENGAN DAN TANPA HIPERTENSI DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM SEMBIRING DELITUA TAHUN 2025

Purpose : This study aims to compare HbA1c levels in DM patients with and without hypertension. Method : This research used a quantitative design with an observational analytic approach. Data were obtained secondarily from the medical records of DM patients treated at Sembiring General Hospital Delitua in 2025. The total sample consisted of 75 patients, including 48 DM patients with hypertension and 27 DM patients without hypertension. Result : Data were analyzed using the independent t-test. The mean HbA1c level in DM patients with hypertension was 9.77 ± 2.16%, while in patients without hypertension it was 7.85 ± 0.58%. Statistical analysis showed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05) between the two groups.
