IDENTIFIKASI BAKTERI ESCHERICHIA COLI PADA SAMPEL URINE KATETER DAN URINE PORSI TENGAH PADA PASIEN INFEKSI SALURAN KEMIH YANG DI RAWAT INAP DI RS GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM
Objective: To identify the presence of Escherichia coli bacteria in urine samples obtained through catheter and middle portion methods and to compare the effectiveness of both methods in detecting E. coli in patients with suspected urinary tract infections. Methods: The method used in this study is a quantitative method, namely comparing the results of Escherichia coli identification in two types of urine sampling methods: urine catheter and middle portion urine. Results: Escherichia coli is the most commonly isolated bacteria from both types of urine samples, both catheter urine and middle urine, in patients with UTI symptoms.
