ANALISIS ANTIBODY TERHADAP Mycobacterium tubercolosis PADA PASIEN TB DENGAN METODE ELISA DI RSU PANYABUNGAN
Methods: This study is a laboratory observational study aimed at comparing the detection results of specific antibodies against Mycobacterium tuberculosis in two types of specimens: blood and serum. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-analytic design. A total of 40 TB patients from Panyabungan General Hospital were selected using purposive sampling. Antibody detection was performed using the ELISA method. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test was used to analyze differences between the two specimen types. Results: The majority of respondents were aged 31–40 years (40%) and male (55%). As many as 52.5% had no prior history of TB and were classified as latent TB cases. The ELISA test showed that 65% of blood specimens yielded negative results, while 57.5% of serum specimens were positive. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test showed a significance value of 0.020 (ρ < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between blood and serum results.
