EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN SERUM DAN WHOLE BLOOD UNTUK PEMERIKSAAN RAPID TES HIV PADA IBU HAMIL DI PUSKESMAS BATANG BERUH
This test aims to determine the HIV status of pregnant women early on, so that treatment and prevention of HIV transmission to babies can be carried out earlier. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of serum and whole blood for rapid HIV testing for pregnant women at the Batang Beruh Health Center. The research method used a descriptive research type with a cross-sectional approach. The results of the study from 20 respondents, there were 16 respondents (80%) of the rapid HIV test examination of pregnant women in the good category against 8 respondents (40%) in the non-reactive category using serum and 8 respondents (40%) in the non-reactive category using whole blood, while 4 respondents (20%) of the rapid HIV test examination of pregnant women in the bad category against 2 respondents (10%) in the reactive category using serum and 2 respondents (10%) in the reactive category using whole blood.
