ANALISIS HASIL PEMERIKSAAN HBSAG PADA IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III DI UPTD PUSKESMAS KEDAI TIGA BARUS
Objectives: To analyze the results of HBsAg examinations in pregnant women in the third trimester, to determine the prevalence of positive and negative HBsAg and to analyze the characteristics of pregnant women with positive HBsAg results. Method: This study is a descriptive study with a time series approach. A sample of 25 pregnant women in the third trimester was selected using a purposive sampling technique at the UPTD Kedai Tiga Barus Health Center. Data were obtained through blood sampling and HBsAg examination using the Rapid Test method (Virocheck HBsAg). The data were then analyzed descriptively based on the results of the examination and the characteristics of the respondents. Results: Of the 25 blood samples examined, 1 sample (4%) showed positive HBsAg results and 24 samples (96%) were negative. Respondents with positive results had no history of risky behavior, but had undergone wet cupping therapy. Respondents with negative results generally did not know about Hepatitis B and had never been vaccinated. These results emphasize the importance of education and screening for pregnant women.
