PERBANDINGAN HASIL PEMERIKSAAN SAMPEL ANALISA GAS DARAH PADA PASIEN PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT DIPERIKSA LANGSUNG DAN SAMPEL YANG DIDIAMKAN DALAM LEMARI PENDINGIN 1×24 JAM
Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 30 arterial blood samples from PICU patients at RSU Haji Medan were analyzed using the I-STAT 1 Analyzer. Each sample was examined under two conditions: immediately after collection and after being stored in a refrigerator for 1×24 hours. Data were analyzed using normality tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk) and a paired sample t-test. Results: Normality tests showed that the data were normally distributed. The mean values of pH, pCO₂, and HCO₃ were higher in samples analyzed immediately than those stored. The paired sample t-test showed a significant difference (p = 0.000), indicating that the delay in examination significantly affected the results.
