PENGARUH WAKTU HASIL PEMERIKSAAN Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) SETELAH PENYIMPANAN 48 JAM PADA SUHU 2-8 °C DI LABORATORIUM KLINIK PRAMITA PEKANBARU
Objective: To determine the effect of storage time on HbA1c examination results after 48 hours at 28 °C in Pramita Clinical Laboratory. Methods: This study employed an experimental design with a crosssectional approach. The research subjects were DM patients enrolled in the Prolanis program who met the inclusion criteria: age >17 years, willingness to participate, and complete medical records. EDTA blood samples were tested for HbA1c levels immediately after collection and after 48 hours of storage at 2–8 °C. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. Results: The mean HbA1c levels from immediate and delayed examinations were normally distributed. The standard deviation of the immediate test (7.883) was higher than that of the delayed test (1.2815). The Mann-Whitney U test yielded p = 0.556 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant difference between the two groups.
