HUBUNGAN PERSEPSI WARIA TENTANG HIV/AIDS TERHADAP PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN PENULARAN HIV/AIDS DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS LUBUK PAKAM
This research employed a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted in Lubuk Pakam Pekan Village, Lubuk Pakam Sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency. The population and sample consisted of all transgender women in the Lubuk Pakam Puskesmas working area, totaling 100 individuals. The results showed that most respondents had a positive perception of HIV/AIDS (66%) and demonstrated positive preventive behavior (62%). However, 38% of respondents still exhibited negative behavior, indicating the need to improve knowledge, motivation, and environmental support to foster healthy behaviors. The chi-square test revealed a significant relationship between perception and preventive behavior toward HIV/AIDS among transgender women, with a p-value of 0.005 (p < 0.05).
