IDENTIFIKASI BAKTERI Escherichia coli PADA IKAN KEMBUNG BAKAR (Rastrelliger Sp) YANG DIJUAL DIRUMAH MAKAN SEKITARAN KAMPUS MEDISTRA LUBUK PAKAM

Objective: This study aims to identify the presence of Escherichia coli bacteria in grilled mackerel (Rastrelliger sp) sold in restaurants around the Medistra Lubuk Pakam Campus. Method: the study used is descriptive observational with isolation and identification techniques using EMBA (Eosin Methylene Blue Agar) media and Gram staining. A total of 10 grilled mackerel samples were tested macroscopically and microscopically. Results: The results showed that all samples contained E. coli colonies with characteristic metallic green colonies and Gram-negative staining results in the form of bacilli.
