This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. The study sample consisted of 28 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The level of pain was measured using a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) with categories of no pain, mild pain, moderate pain, and severe pain. Data analysis was performed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a
significance level of α = 0.05. Results: Before the administration of external splint fixation, the majority of respondents were in the moderate pain category (57.1%) and severe pain (28.6%). After being given external splint fixation, the majority of respondents experienced a decrease in pain to the mild pain category (57.1%) and no pain (14.3%). The Wilcoxon test results showed a Z value of –5.099 with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pain levels before and after the intervention.
