PERBANDINGAN JUMLAH PENDONOR DAN JUMLAH PERMINTAAN DARAH DI UDD PMI KAB.KARO TAHUN 2020 – 2024
The results show significant annual fluctuations between the number of blood donations and demand. Three out of the five years (2020, 2023, and 2024) experienced a surplus in blood supply, while 2021 and 2022 showed a deficit, partly due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Blood group O (Rh+) consistently had the highest number of both donations and requests, while blood group AB (Rh+) had the lowest. No data was recorded for Rhesus-negative (Rh-) blood types, indicating either a low local population or insufficient documentation of rare blood types. The study concludes that blood availability at the PMI UDD Karo Regency has remained generally stable, though certain periods of deficit require strategic planning and adaptive blood stock management. The research recommends strengthening public awareness, improving Rh(-) data collection, and developing digital information systems for better blood donation management.
