HUBUNGAN KADAR KOLESTEROL DENGAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI DESA SEIMENCIRIM KECAMATAN SUNGGAL

Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between cholesterol levels and blood pressure in hypertension patients in Sei Mencirim Village, Sunggal District. Method: This study used a descriptive analytical design with a cross-sectional approach, involving 115 respondents. Data were taken from the medical records of the Sei Mencirim Health Center. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with inclusion criteria of respondents aged ≥18 years and having blood pressure above normal values. Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed that out of 54 respondents who had high blood pressure, 32 people (59.3%) also had high cholesterol levels.
