ANALISA KEJADIAN DIABETES MILLITUS TERHADAP PRALANSIA DAN LANSIA HIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS PARINGGONAN KEC. ULU BARUMUN
Objective: This study aims to describe the incidence of Diabetes Mellitus among pre-elderly and elderly individuals with hypertension in the working area of Paringgonan Public Health Center. Methods: This research is a descriptive quantitative study using a cross-sectional design, aimed at describing the incidence of Diabetes Mellitus among pre-elderly and elderly groups with hypertension based on data available at a specific point in time. The population in this study consisted of pre-elderly and elderly individuals with hypertension. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method, involving 28 pre-elderly and 15 elderly participants. Statistical analysis was performed using the Spearman Rank test. Results: The study showed that among the 28 pre-elderly individuals with hypertension, the majority had normal blood glucose levels (200 mg/dL), totaling 9 individuals (60%). The Spearman Rank test resulted in a p-value of 0.504 (p > 0.05).
